St. Louis de Montfort offers a variety of Ongoing Formation ministries and opportunities to volunteer with these ministries. Please contact the designated person listed if you would like more information about a particular ministry.

“Wherever two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.” Matthew 18:20.

All of our Parish volunteers are required to attend VIRTUS Training and to update that training each month via training bulletins on the Internet. This is extremely important, so that we, as a Church, can take every possible step to protect the people we are trying to help.

R.C.I.A.

John McNamara
744-9515

The Rite of Christian Initiation (R.C.I.A.) is the process through which interested adults are gradually introduced to the Roman Catholic faith and way of life. They are educated in the theological lessons necessary to allow them to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation.

Volunteers with this ministry support those going through R.C.I.A. as small group discussion leaders, sponsors, and resources.

R.C.I.A. for Children

John McNamara
744-9515

The children’s R.C.I.A. program brings the Good News of Jesus to children age 7 and above and prepares them for the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil. This is open to children from different faiths who wish to become Catholic or for those who have been delayed in receiving the first sacraments.

Members of this ministry assist and support the children, with concentrated effort in welcoming them into our family of faith.

Pre-Cana (Marriage)

Joan and Dave Krawec
744-8566

Pre-Cana is a Catholic course on marriage. Engaged couples are required to participate in the course before they can be married in the Catholic Church. These six sessions help couples to develop a stronger faith, learn and interact with married couples, and discover new things about themselves and their partner in preparation for married life.

Members of this ministry help engaged couples by sharing their faith, practical information, and life experiences that will help guide them to a successful marriage in today’s world. Training is provided.

Wedding Coordinators

Chris and Jim Harrison
744-8566

Wedding Coordinators assist the engaged couple with wedding preparations, rehearsals, and activities on the day of the wedding. For more information, please call the Parish office.
Altar Society

Deacon Joe Bartolotto
744-8566

The Altar Society ministry insures that all cloths and linens used at Mass, liturgical ceremonies and baptisms are worthy of God’s altar. Please contact Deacon Joe if you are interested in assisting with this ministry.
Library Committee

John McNamara
744-9515

Library Hours:
Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday evenings 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

The parish library contains over 3000 items for parishioners to borrow to help them grow in their knowledge of our faith and in their relationship with God.

Members of this committee catalogue material, make computer entries, keep materials in order and notify people if they are overdue in returning items.

Bagel Breakfast

Peggy and Mike Pantozzi
744-8566

Sundays after 9:00 Mass in the lower Church

Members of this ministry organize our weekly breakfasts to foster parish family spirit. Bagels and other refreshments are served.

Irish Night

John McNamara
744-8566

This ministry organizes an annual dinner/dance to celebrate the heritage of Irish people, and takes place in March.

Golf Outing

Bob Mathers
744-8566

Each year, volunteers in this ministry help to plan a fun day of golf in honor of a St. Louis de Montfort parishioner. The day includes lunch, golf, beverages on the course, cocktails and dinner, awards and fabulous prizes, and is held at a local golf course. There are also opportunities for sponsorships.
Soup Suppers

Kathy Sweeney
744-8566

This ministry organizes soup suppers for certain Friday evenings during Lent. Please contact the Parish office for more information.
